Hinton chose Sukun as a case study for that change. For a young brand, that means a great deal.

Sukun is the Urdu word for peace, tranquillity and calm. As Hinton puts it, the brand was built on the belief that the rituals of home deserve attention. Getting into bed at the end of the day is one of the few rituals we all share.

It should feel like a pause, not an afterthought.

Our founder, Fatima Khan, grew up in Lahore, surrounded by Pakistan's textile traditions. When she started Sukun in 2023, she wanted to bring that heritage into British bedrooms.

Every piece is made at one family-run mill in Lahore, which has been weaving for more than 80 years, across three generations. We work in small batches, and we don't rush. Fatima spent a full year refining thread counts and finishes before a single set went on sale.
