From the first wash to the hundredth.
A few gentle habits that keep every Sukun piece beautiful for years.
Cotton sateen bedding
- Wash before first use. Cotton sateen softens with every wash.
- Machine wash at 40°C on a gentle cycle, with a mild detergent and like colours.
- Wash frilled and piped pieces inside out to keep the details crisp.
- No bleach or fabric softener, which can dull the sheen.
- Line dry where you can, or tumble dry on low and remove promptly.
- Iron on a warm setting while slightly damp.
Pyjamas
- Machine wash at 30°C on a gentle cycle, inside out.
- No bleach or fabric softener.
- Line dry to keep their shape, then a cool iron if needed.
- Monogrammed pieces: iron on the reverse of the embroidery.
Supima® cotton towels
- Wash before first use to bring out full softness and absorbency.
- Machine wash at 40°C with like colours.
- Skip the fabric softener. It coats the fibres and makes towels less absorbent.
- Tumble dry on low, or give a good shake and line dry.
Goatskin suede jackets
- Specialist suede or leather clean only. Never machine wash, tumble dry or iron.
- Brush gently with a soft suede brush to lift the nap.
- Keep away from rain. If it gets wet, blot with a dry cloth and let it dry naturally, away from heat.
- Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, which can fade the colour.
- Store on a wide, shaped hanger in a breathable garment bag, never plastic.
Monogrammed pieces
- Wash inside out and iron on the reverse of the embroidery to keep stitching raised and neat.
